Endocrinology<\/strong> is a medical specialty that studies the endocrine system and the pathologies caused by its malfunction.<\/p>\n

The Endocrinology, Nutrition and Dietetics<\/strong> team is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of endocrine system disorders. It studies the physiology and pathology of the endocrine glands, the interactions of some hormones with others and the various metabolic processes, as well as the alterations produced by their dysfunctions.<\/p>\n

Endocrine glands produce chemicals called hormones that enter the body through the circulatory system. These hormones regulate all the body’s metabolic processes and their proper functioning is essential.<\/p>\n

It is important to know that this set of organs and tissues of our body produce the hormones that regulate other systems as important as the nervous, digestive, reproductive and cardiovascular. Its imbalance is related, for example, to pathologies such as diabetes or obesity.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, nutrition is one of the pillars of our health and if we take care of it we will improve physically and emotionally and make it easier for our body to prevent some diseases.<\/p>\n

What is an Endocrinologist?<\/strong><\/p>\n

An endocrinologist, or endocrine, is a specialist doctor who is dedicated to the study, diagnosis and treatment of diseases and metabolic, hormonal and nutritional disorders.<\/p>\n

At Cl\u00ednica ServiDigest we have experienced professionals specializing in Endocrinology, Nutrition and Dietetics who work together and in a multidisciplinary manner for the best treatment of the different pathologies, properly assessing the causes that produce them in each patient, applying the most appropriate treatment.<\/p>\n

We have specific units for comprehensive care in pathologies such as Diabetes, Thyroid, Overweight and Obesity, among others.<\/p>\n

Our Endocrinology and Nutrition Service works in coordination with the Digestive System Service and the Medical and Surgical Obesity Service, to offer a comprehensive and multidisciplinary individualized treatment for each patient and for each of the pathologies presented.<\/p>\n
