Description
The Endoscopic Intragastric Balloon (EIB) is indicated for those people who have tried all types of diets to lose weight and have not achieved the expected results.
Many of our patients have already managed to reach their ideal weight with this ServiDigest Clinic treatment.
Without surgery, the Intragastric Balloon consists of introducing into the stomach, endoscopically, a silicone balloon containing physiological saline, which is maintained for a maximum of 6 months.
During this period, the patient is re-educated more effectively to eat lighter and less large meals, thanks to the feeling of satiety produced by the balloon inside.
The Intragastric Balloon is a high quality silicone balloon with a maximum safety valve system. It is designed to be kept in the stomach for 6 months with the aim of producing a feeling of fullness and satiety.
After this period, it is removed endoscopically and under deep anesthesia.
This endoscopic treatment is indicated for patients with Overweight and Obesity type I, II and occasionally some cases of Obesity type III-IV.
The multidisciplinary team of doctors specializing in Digestive System-Endoscopy, Endocrinology, Nutrition and Dietetics and Clinical Psychology, always assesses the personal and clinical situation of each patient to determine the best treatment, depending on the degree and level of Overweight or Obesity they present.
