Description

High Resolution Manometry (HRM) is performed with an advanced technology catheter that has 36 pressure sensors at a distance of less than two centimeters, with which the anatomical physiology of esophageal peristalsis is studied, obtaining a spatio-temporal map of the motor activity of the esophagus, both the body and its two sphincters (lower and upper) at the same time and better identifies segmental motor disorders and transient relaxations. In short, it provides new assessment parameters and new classification criteria for primary motor disorders.
