The Joint Commission International is the organization that evaluates the most prestigious, demanding, and experienced quality and safety standards in healthcare accreditation worldwide, with the aim of continuously improving quality and safety in healthcare organizations.
Healthcare organizations accredited with this golden quality seal must renew it every three years. During this period, the Joint Commission International monitors compliance with the quality and patient safety standards established in the accredited healthcare centers.
The Joint Commission International evaluates compliance with a thousand international standards, verifying comprehensive patient safety; patient assessment and care; surgical and anesthesia care; infection prevention and control; continuous improvement; governance and leadership; continuous training; facility management; staff qualifications and education; and information management.
